Oh? Is that all? [ Zexion deadpans, overwhelmed by the absurdity of it all. He's almost laughing when he next speaks. ] Of course he wanted to raze everything and become a god. How could I have expected anything less of him?

Wanting to end everything was just the logical conclusion to Xemnas - to Xehanort's obsession with the flaws of the worlds, the pointlessness of existence, the futility of all things. [ Zexion goes quiet again for a long moment before he says anything else. When he speaks, it's slowly, as if something is dawning on him as he says it. ]

I spent most of my life in the Organization. [ Over half of it, assuming one counts his years and Ienzo's the same. ] And for what? So I could be his pawn? Not even that, but a vessel to be hollowed out and filled with someone else? I was nine years old.

[Sora knows just how unfair all of this is, and his heart breaks for his friend. He wishes he could go back in time and stop all of this from happening, but time travel is the kind of thing his enemy does.]

[ There's a part of him that wants to lash out at Sora. He couldn't possibly understand what Zexion is going through, after all - he has his home, his friends, his grand adventure and its triumphant end, and all Zexion has is dying and coming back as someone who might not even be the same person. But that's not fair, and he knows it, so he bites it back and just sighs instead. ]
